England Netball and Surrey Storm player Tamsin Greenway took a special training session for Lifeline Netball Club and their back-to-netball group Netball Mummies
The local clubs, based at Wallington Sports Club in Hillside Gardens enjoyed some expert coaching from Tamsin, the captain of Surrey Storm who play in the Fiat Netball Superleague.
Lifeline Netball Club chairman, Denise Butler said “It was a great experience for our players to meet and learn from Tamsin. Her passion and enthusiasm for the game certainly filtered through to all our members. Everyone came away with ideas as to how they can improve their game, which hopefully we will see results of in future matches.”
Lifeline Netball Club currently play in the Croydon, Met and Greenacres netball leagues and are keen to welcome new experienced players to their training sessions on Monday evenings at Wallington Sports Club.
Elaine South, Lifeline’s coach, has been helping develop the skills Netball Mummies, a group of mums from Bandon Hill Primary School getting back to netball. This group train weekly on Wednesday evenings and are keen to invite ladies who have not played since school.
