Junior Tournament

'Croydon Netball Leagues 2nd Junior tournament took place, with over 100 under 14 girls from local netball clubs. The tournament was split in 2 section under 12 and under 14.

The ability of the players was very varied therefore giving everyone a taste for the future in Netball. The Under 12 compromised of teams from Roundwood, Chequers, Pleaides, Warren Z and CMO. the youngster watched by parents and friends put on a splendid display of raw talent. Roundwood 3 came away with top spot in this section with Chequers runners up.

The under 14 showed their skills with some excellent play from some very promising youngsters. A closely fought game between Roundwood 2 and Howard 1 had spectators on the edge of their seats. Roundwood 2 just edged Howard out of first place in a very tight match. Medals were presented by Croydon Netball League Chairman Jackie Rowland who was inpressed with the standard that she had seen from the girls.
